European pastoralisms : traditions fit for the future!

Paris, France; March 1

In 2012, the French Pastoral law will be 40 years old. To celebrate this event, the French Pastoralism Association and the Permanent Assembly of Chambers of Agriculture, with support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries, Rurality and Territorial Planning, have jointly organised an national and European event.

This event is an opportunity to look back over the last 40 years, evaluate the law's achievements and the extent to which it addresses today's needs and maybe to propose the next reforms!

A range of European pastoralists will participate, giving the opportunity to create a common voice at exactly the time when future European policies are being discussed.
