High Nature Value Farming in South-Eastern Europe

The importance of low-intensity agricultural systems and the resulting High Nature Value farming landscapes for biodiversity is widely recognised today.

The south-eastern European countries, from Turkey to Croatia, currently not EU-members, have an exceptionally large amount of HNV farming area. This importance lead to the creation of a regional EFNCP-office in Bulgaria with two project officers: Yanka Kazakova, Vyara Stefanova
