About us
The European Forum on Nature Conservation and Pastoralism (EFNCP) was established in 1988 and has developed as a European network of scientists, conservationists and policy makers which interacts with farmers, land managers and agricultural and environmental ministries.
The EFNCP is a non-profit organisation, functioning legally as a company limited by guarantee under English law. The governing body is the Executive Committee, which is elected by the Members, who own the organisation. The six members of the Executive Committee are also the Directors of the company, one of whom is also the Company Secretary.
Besides the Corporate Members, the membership includes the original individuals who founded the Forum and all the Executive Committee. The legal basis of the Forum is contained in its statues - the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
The Forum is keen to work with anyone who shares our vision. Individuals who wish to assist in our work should contact one of the Executive Committee members. Organisations also have the option of becoming formal Members of the Forum and sharing in our decision making processes.
